NF's new song, "HOPE," has quite a few elements that I have never seen in music, such as the slow start with the morbid piano, then being able to end with some slow rap, ultimately making the song of its own category. The song's meaning is also quite profound. To not bore you all, it is simply the artist, NF, or Nathan Feuerstein, explaining that his life has been difficult, but now he has been able to feel a new emotion, hope, which makes him feel like a new person, like a butterfly coming out of a cocoon, new, complete, free.
The song starts with a morbid piano with a depressing vibe, slowly speeding up as NF sings, building up to the rap chorus. NF, at first, seems to be struggling to hold onto hope, then he speeds up from the slow/sad feeling, making it more hype. Then the chorus is very reliant on NF's high-speed rap instead of leaning on the music and instrumentals like most songs. Another thing I want to point out is the auto-tune towards the end of the song, representing those voices that beat you down every now and then. How NF was able to recreate what they say gave me chills when I first heard it, giving the song a final 8/10 rating!
